2005 "City Showcase" at the National League of Cities' annual congress." |
For immediate release by Rainmaker & Associates as authorized by
the Town of Braselton.
Braselton selected for national cities' showcase
(Braselton) Braselton was chosen from among dozens of candidates to
participate in the 2005 "City Showcase" at the National League of Cities'
annual congress in Charlotte, December 6-10.
The showcase is an annual display and celebration of innovative city
programs from around the country, offering city leaders a chance to share
ideas and valuable experiences with the more than 3000 delegates who are
expected to attend. Issues such as downtown revitalization,
youth activities, storm water management and emergency preparedness are
focused in this year's agenda, which will also feature a variety of other
creative programs.
Braselton is one of four Georgia cities to get the coveted nod for a
conference display.
The town's reuse water system gained national
attention for its innovation, operational standards and efficiency.
The National League of Cities is the oldest and largest national
organization for American cities. It serves as a resource and advocate for
18,000 cities, towns and villages in which 225 million people live. For
