Experienced Civil/Environmental Engineer
Engineering Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil or Environmental Engineer with well-rounded experience, advancing environmental solutions for a variety of local government client categories, with complex environmental challenges.
This individual would ideally have specialty expertise in water/wastewater treatment facilities, distribution, collection, storage, water and sewer system modeling and master planning for local government projects.
Responsibilities Include:
Planning, design, and evaluation of traditional and non-traditional water and wastewater projects, drainage utility systems and other civil and environmental engineering projects.
Conduct engineering studies, reports, plans and specifications, and opinions of probable construction costs for major projects, aiding the project team’s understanding of the client’s program needs and acting as the client’s advocate for the project.
Provide quality assurance and control checks. Resolve a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
Communicate and interact with the client manager and project team members, client representatives, review agencies and others as appropriate to project.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or like degree with relevant experience.
Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure in the state of Georgia is preferred.
Minimum of five years’ experience in environmental/water resources engineering consulting for local government/municipal or industrial clients.
Prefer up to ten years of combined experience as project engineer and/or project manager on municipal water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, and pump stations in Georgia.
Understanding of environmental regulations and potential application to clients’ needs required. Experience in storm water quality and quantity management helpful.
Experience in process wastewater management and treatment a plus. Proficiency in latest version of AutoCAD®, Civil 3D and water and sewer system modeling software a must.
Proven experience in developing project plans, anticipating and addressing project issues and directing the completion of technical reports.
