The City of Jefferson has contracted with Engineering Management Inc. on several occasions for road improvement projects.  This particular project involved widening and extending Hog Mountain Road for easier access to a new manufacturing plant which created jobs for the citizens of Jefferson.

 

The project consisted of widening of approximately 2,950 linear feet of roadway, including the removal of existing road and road bed, and installation of a new road with a center turn lane.  The project was constructed in two phases to allow continual access to the new manufacturing plant located adjacent to Hog Mountain Road (a.k.a. McClure Industrial Parkway).  The entire project was completed within 60 calendar days from the start date and the total project cost was approximately $598,500.00.
