Town of Braselton, Jackson County, Georgia-Evaluations
2012 - 1.12 MGD groundwater system. Principals were involved in evaluating the City’s three ground water wells and chemical treatment system. The City’s water system was experiencing potential corrosive issues in regards to moderately low pH and alkalinity from the source water as well as elevated levels of manganese. EMI evaluated the benefits of instituting a pH and alkalinity chemical feed process as well as the addition of a poly-ortho phosphate blend. EMI proposed and is assisting the City with installing a chemical feed system to enhance the pH and alkalinity to reduce potential corrosion as well as adding a poly-ortho phosphate to aid in manganese sequestering.
2009 – 2.54 MGD re-use wastewater treatment plant SBR activated sludge plant. Principals were involved in evaluating the City’s SBR wastewater treatment facilities. EMI completed an evaluation of the treatment facility and presented the City with a cost estimate and time schedule on completing documented deficiencies and recommendations to include improvements in the chemical feed system, SBR diffuser operation, filter control building as well as influent structure.
